Privacy Policy
This policy explains how FateRoot handles information when you use the BaZi calculator and related reports.
Information we process
We process the birth date, birth time, birthplace and gender you enter, together with derived coordinates, time zone and chart data. We may also receive basic technical logs needed for security and reliability. FateRoot does not currently offer accounts, checkout or paid reports.
How we use it
We use this information to calculate your chart, apply historical time-zone and true-solar-time corrections, generate the free result, prevent abuse and improve reliability.
Private chart sessions
The standard calculator stores birth input in a short-lived, HttpOnly session cookie so it does not need to appear in the result-page URL. The current session expires after approximately 30 minutes. Result pages are marked not to be indexed by search engines.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell birth information. We share only the minimum information needed with infrastructure and location-resolution providers that operate the free calculator. Before FateRoot enables any AI, email or payment provider, this policy will be updated with the applicable provider and retention details.
Your choices
You may stop using the service, clear browser cookies, or ask for access, correction or deletion of retained personal information where applicable. Do not submit another person’s birth information without permission.
Children and changes
FateRoot is not intended for children under 16. We may update this policy as providers and paid features are finalized; the effective date below will change when we do.
