Privacy Policy
This policy explains how FateRoot handles information when you use the BaZi calculator and related reports.
Information we process
We process the email address associated with your account; the birth date, birth time, birthplace and gender you enter; and the derived coordinates, time zone, chart data, saved reports and credit records needed to provide the service. We may also process basic technical logs needed for security and reliability.
How we use it
We use this information to calculate your chart, apply historical time-zone and true-solar-time corrections, generate and save eligible reports (including AI-assisted explanatory text), manage credits and subscriptions, prevent abuse and improve reliability.
AI processing
When you request an AI-assisted report, FateRoot may send the minimum chart-derived context needed to generate that report to third-party AI service providers. We do not use AI providers to sell your information. Chart calculation itself remains deterministic and is performed by FateRoot systems.
Private chart sessions
The standard calculator stores birth input in a short-lived, HttpOnly session cookie so it does not need to appear in the result-page URL. This temporary session expires automatically. Result pages are marked not to be indexed by search engines.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal or birth information. We share only the minimum information needed with infrastructure providers, location-resolution providers, and third-party AI service providers for eligible AI report generation. Waffo Pancake processes checkout payments under its own privacy policy and provides FateRoot with limited transaction information needed to fulfil purchases and support payment-related requests. We retain information while it is needed to provide the service, maintain account history, meet payment, security or legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
Your choices
You may stop using the service, clear browser cookies, or ask us to access, correct or delete retained personal information where applicable by writing to support@fateroot.com. Do not submit another person’s non-public birth information or other personal information without authorization.
Age and changes
FateRoot is intended for people aged 18 or older. We may update this policy when our service changes; the effective date below will change when we do.
